An email. A meeting. A coworker.
People are bombarded with distractions. Everyday, everywhere.
This probably means you, too.
Continuous distractions from work not only prevent you from doing deep work. It is also linked to higher levels of anxiety, insomnia, and even burnout or depression.
But what is exactly happening in your brain?
The activity in your brain is measured with brain waves, expressed in frequencies.
Research has shown us that when your brain waves are not at the right frequency, you do not feel well or out of balance.
In other words, we do not feel balanced because our brain is not in balance.
This means that your ‘rational’ left brain is much more active than your ‘creative’ right brain.
The two no longer work together optimally.
They are not in sync.
Your goal: to bring your brain hemispheres into balance.
One way to balance your brain is meditation.
The benefits of meditation are endless.
But the tricky thing about meditation is: You have to make time for it You often have to find a quiet place You have to practice for months or years before you see the full effect And that doesn't work for the always busy, rushed people.
